White organic cotton shirt, button-down collar, wide front placket, one-button cuff, curved hem. The Brook is Oliver Spencer's take on the OCBD, a shirt shape that started with British cavalry officers buttoning their collars down to stop them flapping while playing polo, made its way to American Ivy League campuses in the fifties, and has been worn pretty much everywhere since. Cut slightly shorter than a traditional button-down so it works untucked without looking unfinished. The Brecon Oxford fabric is soft with a subtle texture, washed-in rather than crisp.
We stocked the white because it goes under everything else we carry. Works from September through to April without overthinking it.
